Mom's for Mom's Communities

Moms for Moms Communities, founded by local mother Janine Cuthbertson, are hyper-local social networks for mothers to connect, share information, find and offer support and be inspired to get involved. Mothers from pregnancy through grand-motherhood are encouraged to join their local Moms for Moms site in either Aspen, Basalt, Carbondale, Glenwood or Rifle.

In School Programs

Aspen TREE is bringing practical, hands- on, ecological education into the local school systems!

Starting September of 2011, Eden Vardy of Aspen TREE is teaching a Permaculture Design Course in Aspen High School's Ecological Literacy and Resource Efficiency program with Travis Moore. This exciting opportunity is unprecedented in a Colorado Public School!

Part of the goal of this program is to build a four seasons greenhouse that is attached to the school. This would be a "living" classroom and laboratory for various courses of study, as well as a source of FRESH extremely local and healthy food for the cafeteria.

We have already recieved initial funding and developed a preliminary design with the help of "Ecosystems Designs", and are now seeking sponsorships and donations to moove forward. Please contact Eden Vardy at (970)379-2323 if you would like to support this exciting project!
